EXODUS 20:15
MY STORY
13 years ago, my Dad made a sticker for my helmet, Exodus 20:15. We didn’t know it then…..but that phrase would stay with me forever. I can remember when I was 11 years old, my Dad would drive me five hours every weekend just for practice….just my Dad and I on the road….we had lots of time to talk about life, softball and my dreams.
Now I’m not saying we invented this…..it’s literally in the Bible, and I’m sure catchers everywhere have said it for years. But coming from a small town in Washington State, with limited access to the mainstream world, this was new to us, and it became our own inside thing.
We all know our sport is very expensive, because of that, my Dad who was a Police Officer, opened a T-shirt business on the side to just to help fund my career. I can remember on one of our weekend trips, he mentioned, “Exodus 20:15, Thou Shall Not Steal, that should be your catching motto.” He surprised me one day and made me an Exodus 20:15 sticker and put it in my helmet….since that day, I’ve worn it on every single helmet I’ve worn. Even today, it’s stitched into my mitt. Just like when I was a young catcher, as a Professional catcher, I still play with it on my helmet every game, every pitch and every play. It’s apart of my game.
As I got older, I can remember him saying, “We should turn this into something someday.” Well that day has come.
Now, I finally get to share this with all of you. 13 years in the making, this is more than a shirt, it’s a piece of my journey and I’m so grateful to share this with the amazing community of catchers worldwide.
My name is Reagan Glanz. I am a catcher, and I made this for catchers.
Thank you for your interest.
